Check out the Yepzon Freedom GPS Tracker
The Yepzon Freedom GPS tracker has been around for a while now but we thought we should give it a mention. This tracker would most accurately be described as a personal tracker. Their website bills it like this:
The Yepzon™ Freedom is a personal safety product which combines alarm and tracking functions. Designed for everyday life’s surprising situations, the GPS alarm makes use of the latest tracking technology. Yepzon™ Freedom is the first safety device on the market which has GPS tracking, 3G tracking, Wi-Fi indoor tracking, and an alarm feature in one.
The Yepzon Freedom comes with $129 price tag for the hardware (fairly more expensive than most trackers this size), and features an SOS button which allows the wearer to send out a location signal by pressing it. You can view your tracker’s location on a map in the free Yepzon mobile app. To use the device in any way, you will need to purchase data/service from Yepzon through the app. The good news is there is no contract and you pay as you go for that service. It is also a very affordable data plan shown on their Amazon listing below:
We found the Yepzon Freedom to be quite customizable when it comes to reporting frequency. You have the option in the device’s mobile app to set the tracker to report every minute, two minutes, three minutes, all the way up to around every 20 minutes. You can also set the device to not report location on a time interval to conserve battery. The Yepzon Freedom has three different reporting modes: Locator mode (traditional GPS reporting on time interval), Locator + SOS button mode (reports on time interval but responds to SOS button as well), and SOS button only mode (will not report on time interval, only responds to SOS button).
The reviews for the Yepzon Freedom can be mixed from what we have seen online. It looks like some people have really gotten good use out of the tracker while other people had cellular connectivity issues in certain areas. You will likely need to be in 3G coverage to use this device/tracker reliably. While their website states the tracker uses GPS, 3G cell networks, and Wifi to get location, your most accurate tracking times are going to be when you can get that cellular coverage specifically.

Useful For Some Cases
The Yepzon Freedom has mixed reviews on Amazon but we don’t think you should rule it out as a reliable personal tracker. When it comes down to comparing it to other trackers and tracking apps, it is remarkably minimalistic. The Yepzon app doesn’t contain as many secondary features like some tracking apps, but it really sets itself apart with a clean, easy to learn/use tracking experience. If you can deal with the shorter battery life for the size (about the size of a key fob, 1-2 days battery life), and you have decent 3G cellular coverage where you are, then the Yepzon Freedom can be a viable option as a personal tracker.
